Hennessy NYX Launch @Vertigo, The Gardens

Kicked off my first party of the year with the new Hennessy NYX Launch last Thursday at The Gardens. Glow in the dark and futuristic are the themes for this new flavour of Hennessy. The dress codes for this event are white and purple, and I can see why after I enter the venue of the event.

The dark place of the club came to life when DJ Blink heated up the place with his tracks alongside with the launching of the new NYX bottle. The place is glowing with the UV light shining throughout the place.

The party venue is abit crowded in my opinion, it is however compensated with free flows of Hennessy and great music played by local favourite DJ Blink.

The drinks stopped shortly below 11PM, but everyone still had good company & good music to compensate to the thirst!

JonYKY and Joseph Germani were present at the party.

It was a great night overall , a big thanks to Hennessy Malaysia!

H-ARTISTRY’S BIGGEST PARTY OF 2011 ‘MIXES IT UP’

Hennesy Artistry is back! This time will be happening at Malaysia International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC) at Mines Resort City on 12 November 2011.

 Are you ready to party?

This final leg of H-Artistry lineup include Yolanda Be Cool, Landy Wen, Chris Willis, Park Jun Min, and Goldfish & Blink

Chris Willis is a singer/songwriter with a knack turning killer tracks into charttopping pop songs and a divo who can go mic-to-mic with the best of the pop divas any day of the week. Like David Guetta singles, then you will sure to be impress by him as he is the man behind most of Guetta's songs. Looking forward on listening to his remixes!

Yolanda Be Cool, the Australian mega electronic duo. Why you no speak Americano! Love that song. Will definitely dance to it.

This time around, with an expected crowd of over 4,000, the upcoming H-Artistry party promises to enthral party-goers to two explosive partying experiences where sights, sounds, and tastes collide.

Landy Wen, pretty Taiwanese singer. She definitely has style in her. Other than that, guests will also be exposed to the Hennessy Mixing Bar – a bar where fans will be taught how to mix any of the four signature Hennessy V.S.O.P long drinks (Hennessy Citrus, Hennessy Berry, Hennessy Ginger, and Hennessy Apple). In addition to that, there will be a booth with the name Hennessy Music Mix Synth — where revellers will be given the chance to create their own tunes by selectively choosing to place 15 circular cubes on a react table (each cube represents a different music element, i.e: guitar, drums, etc) to allow them to experience the true meaning of “The Global Art of Mixing” through the blending of their very own tunes.

DJ Goldfish and Blink, the KL King of Hip-hop, looking forward in seeing them spin it again! Party goers can also visit the Hennessy iMix Challenge – an area where party-goers can try their hands at Hennessy’s newly developed iPad game which requires guests to slice up ingredients which are found in Hennessy V.S.O.P’s signature long drinks. The top 5 high scores screened on an LCD leaderboard will each take home a bottle of limited edition Hennessy V.S.O.P Helios. Other than that, Hennessy Interactive Photowall – a green screen photography area where revellers can enhance their photos digitally by choosing and inserting different visual backgrounds and shout out phrases.

I call myself a huge Hennessy Artistry fans as I never fail to turn up at all the 4 Hennessy Artistry 2010 party last year at Opera, Zouk, Mist and MICC. I enjoyed the Hennessy Artistry with great Artistes performance, DJs, awesome companion and the one we must not miss out, free flow of HENNESSY all night long!

HydraSkins: Where Art Meets Technology

There are many new technologies out there. Everyone are trying out all the new gadgets to fit in with the norm or gadgets that are "hot". The gadgets certainly did not come cheap! In my case, I protect all my gadgets that are bought with my hard earned cash.

Last week, I came across this brand HydraSkins, skins designed to protect your laptops from scratches. I love the idea as I hate to put in casing that will add weight into my laptop. This skin from hyrdraskins fits in perfectly.

I was given an Apollo 18 theme skin to try on. Apollo 18 is an upcoming movie about space and astronaut. Do check out the movie!

I find the instruction manual on how to apply the skin to my laptop is non existence as I apply it with ease without any guide. This proves on how easy it is to stick it to the laptop. 

Thinking on the possibility of me changing designs, I TRY TO REMOVE it, and it is so smooth to remove without leaving any residue.

Vin's Taman Tun Food Review

 Last week, I was offered to join the team of Advertlets to visit a restaurant in TTDI. With my love for food., i say yes to them without hesitation. This is going to be another good food adventure in my thinking.

The restaurant itself, Vin's

The entrance and the signboard, Vin's. The environment is totally top notch as I feel like I'm living in France with the setting. The brightness is just nice as well (fit in the word 'romantic' if you want to have a date here)

This is what I mean by "French setting"(as the country are famous for wines). The setting with wines and alcoholic beverages are arranged nicely on a wooden shelf.

Crumbed Scallops RM18.90

Pan-fried breaded scallops 

 Brandy Prawn  RM18.50

Sautéed fresh shrimp served on crusty bread and tossed with Spanish dressing and brandy sauce. =

Chicken Nachos

Fresh prawns cooked with garlic and chili olive oil, served with toasted bread =

TheMarinated chicken cubes, with finely slice chili, topped with Greek feta cheese onions. Truly fusion!

Juicy grilled salmon cooked in a basil cream sauce seved on pasta. 

 Spicy Lamb Bolognaise RM26.90

Fusion lamb dish, made in a spicy bolognaise sauce and flavored with fresh herbs and wild mushrooms.

Air flown U.S grain fed ribeye steak grilled to your choice of doneness, served with potato salad, accompanied by salad and rich gravy. 

The Elusive Chocolate Truffle Cake RM16.90

I personally think that i had a fantastic night. Vin's managed to get everything right from the food served to customers service. The waiters and waitress always welcomed us with a smile.Even personnel from the management take some time to join for some light conversation(despite with the tight schedule).

The food here are simply awesome (without bias). My personal preference will be the fishes served here, The fishes served are so fresh and cook to perfection

Il Volo live in Malaysia

Il Volo is a trio of Italian pop-opera teenage singers, consisting of Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble.

Their first self-titled album was recorded in 2010 in the Abbey Road Studios in London and produced by Tony Renis and Humberto Gatica. It was released in Italy on November 30, 2010 and peaked at number 6 on the Italian Albums Chart, receiving the Gold certification by the Federation of the Italian Music Industry.

The international edition of the album was released on April 12, 2011 and was promoted in the United States with a performance during the final 3 results show of the American Idol’s tenth season.The group sang “‘O Sole Mio”, which was released as a single in the United States in early 2011.

The album debuted at number 10 on the Billboard 200 and at number 1 on the Classical Albums, selling 23,000 copies in its first week. The album is also entered at the Top 10 in other countries, such as Belgium, France and the Netherlands and topped in Austria.

It was released also a Spanish version of the album, that in the United States, peaked at number 5 on the Latin Pop Albums, at number 8 on the Top Latin Albums and at number 3 on the Classical Albums.
